Episode 184: A New Renaissance
Nearly 270,000 pets were adopted from rescue groups in 2020, 36,000 more pets than in 2019. Divorce rates declined by 22% during the pandemic. Sales of yeast for baking doubled in 2020. Home sales soared to levels not seen since 2006. We drove 430 billion fewer miles. And if you were in the leisurewear business (as well as many other types of businesses) it was a good year.

Without question, it was a harrowing and difficult time for everyone in fact a recent study by Pew research respondents claimed it was net negative which is no surprise given the calamity and heartbreak the pandemic caused.
But there were positive changes.
Today, Mark Graham and I explore what’s changed in how we work, live, and sell, and more importantly, we chat about how we need to be cognizant of taking the positive gains and purposefully using them in our business moving forward.
