How to use marketing automation software as a distributor

You may have heard the words marketing automation before but it’s not immediately clear what it is or how you can use it to help grow your business. As a distributor there are many ways you can use marketing automation to capture new leads, move existing leads from the top of the funnel through to becoming clients, and reengage existing clients to start a new project. This post will explain what marketing automation is and give you some examples of how you can use it as a distributor.

Marketing Automation refers to software designed to help you market across various online channels (such as email, social media, websites, etc…) and automate repetitive tasks. It allows your business to nurture leads and convert them into customers through personalized, behavior-triggered content.

Here are some ways a distributor can use marketing automation to help grow their business:

Automate Email Campaigns & Email Marketing

You can trigger personalized emails to your leads based on their activity and personal details, like sending out birthday emails or trade show follow ups. You can also automate transaction-based emails like welcome emails to new blog subscribers. Another great example would be to create a list of your leads to send a drip campaign of product ideas or new trends to stay top-of-mind.

Create Landing Pages

When you start deploying automated email campaigns with calls to action it is important to be able to track who is doing what so you can test if something is successful or not. You can build and publish responsive landing pages with embedded lead-generation forms to capture and track lead information so you can continue to market to them further down the funnel.

Run Contests and Promotions

Social media is a great way to get your brand noticed. You can run Facebook sweepstakes, photo contests, Instagram hashtag contests and more through marketing automation. Try running a giveaway of some of your branded products through social media, you’ll be able to direct leads to a landing page and have them complete a form so you can capture their information.

Manage Leads

With all these new leads coming in, you’ll want to be able to view your sales funnel to have a better sense of who is in what stage of the cycle. With marketing automation software, you can gain insights into your leads and create lists based on their website activity, emails they’ve opened and interaction with your campaigns.
